Diwali has just gone by. If you have any leftover mithai or burfi which has become unappetizing and hard, here is a tip to reinvent it.
Take a teaspoon of ghee in a thick bottomed pan. Now crumble all the leftover mithai and add to the pan along with 1/2 cup of milk. You can also add 1 tablespoon of dessicated coconut or cocoa powder depending on your preference. Mix together and cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan. Now pour in a greased thali and let it set. Garnish with chopped almonds. The mithai will taste and look as good as new!
